I like that I am constantly broadening my knowledge and facing new challenges at Snowdog. I get to work with fascinating people - even though I can work remotely as much as I want to, I like coming to the office to spend time with my team.

FAQ
Recruitment
-
Will I receive feedback during the recruitment process?
We respect our candidates and the time they invest in the application, so we always provide honest, constructive feedback at every step of the process. That's also the reason why we reserve at least 1 week for evaluating your coding task: we try to give you a learning experience by pointing out what you did well and what could be improved in your solution.
-
How long does the recruitment process take?
We aim to finish our recruitment processes within 3-4 weeks. This timeline includes the 7 to 10 days (depending on the role) you'll have to solve the coding task, 7 days for us to evaluate your solution and compose detailed feedback, and further time to arrange 2 meetings online or at the office.
-
What does the coding task look like? Can I ask for additional instructions?
Depending on the role, the coding task will require you to either create an application, add new functionalities to an existing one or explore data in a provided dataset. In order to keep our recruitment process fair and give every candidate an equal opportunity, we've decided not to provide any additional comments or explanations for our coding tasks: everybody gets the exact same set of information.
-
Can I show you my portfolio or have a technical interview instead of the coding task?
We really care about keeping our recruitment process fair, so we do not make any exceptions when it comes to the coding task: everybody has to go through this step of the process. In return for the time you invest in it, we will try to make it a learning experience for you by providing you with detailed constructive feedback.
-
Can I do my interviews remotely?
Sure! If for any reason you can't meet us at the office, we can speak via Zoom - whatever works best for you.
Work
-
Do I have to have a good level of English?
Some of the team members at Snowdog are English-speaking, so part of our internal communication is done fully in English. We also have a lot of US clients, and, depending on the role, you might be required to communicate with them as well. That's why we require our candidates' language skills to be at the B2-C1 level.
-
How flexible are you with working hours and remote work?
You know best when and where you are most productive, so we leave it completely up to you: stay at home and start your workday at 2 pm., if that helps you feel happy and deliver good results! Some of our projects might require your availability during certain hours and, depending on the role, sometimes it might be beneficial to be in the office for discussions and workshops, but otherwise we maintain a very flexible approach to working hours.
-
What equipment do you provide?
We offer 2 equipment options:
- You can work with a company laptop - we provide hardware matching your needs.
- You can work with your own laptop as well, if you're comfortable with that.
In either case, we will also provide you with a monitor (if you join us in Poznań, unfortunately we don't ship monitors to other cities) and consider purchasing any other equipment you find necessary.
-
What type of contract can I have?
Every new team member can choose between a B2B Contract, an Employment Contract (Umowa o Pracę) and a Contract of Mandate (Umowa Zlecenie).
-
Is there a dress code at the office?
If you come to our office, you'll see people wearing hoodies, blouses, skirts and sweatpants - we are all different and we love it! Most of all, we just want you to be yourself, so please feel free to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable - both during the interviews and once you join the team.
Benefits
-
Do I get all the same benefits if I work remotely, outside of Poland?
Some of the benefits we offer aren't available to our team members based outside of Poland. That includes private health insurance, the sports card and company equipment. It might also take us longer to prepare the contract details for you, as every country has different work regulations. The rest of the work arrangements will be the same though: you can enjoy flexible working hours, English lessons, an individual development budget and, of course, fun integration events - if you'd like to come over and join us (travel and accommodation costs not included)! We will also give you the option to follow your local holiday calendar instead of the Polish one.
-
I'd like to relocate - do you offer a relocation package?
If you're currently based outside of Poznań and would like to join our team on site, we'll be happy to provide you with support and administrative and legal assistance to the best of our abilities. Each relocation case is individual, so if you're considering moving to Poznań, please let us know and we'll see how we can help you.
-
Do you have integration events?
We sure do! Snowdog isn't just a bunch of colleagues who spend 8 hours at the office and rush home. We love having fun and believe that at the core of every successful project is a close team of people who are happy to work together.
