Accessibility policy

Our commitment

Snowdog is committed to ensuring the complete accessibility of its website to all people with disabilities or specific needs that affect their interaction with the web. This includes users who use assistive technology such as screen readers and magnifiers, those unable to use the mouse, and those dependent on accessibility features of their web browser.

To help us make this website a usable and functional place for everyone, we have been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Snowdog website (both desktop and mobile versions).

Measures

Accessibility on Snowdog website was checked using automatic testing tools and with manual tests on different devices (mobile, desktop) and browsers. The last tests were performed on 9th October 2023.

Browser support

The frontend application will support modern browsers (with native ES2015 support), 2 most recent versions or all versions with > 1% of the audience worldwide, which include:

  • Chrome for Android
  • Chrome
  • Safari on iOS
  • Edge
  • Samsung Internet
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Opera Mini
Base accessibility features supported:
  • Keyboard support
  • Support for Assistive Technologies
  • Colors, spacing and fonts
  • Responsiveness – page adjusted for different devices and various screen width
  • Alternative content
Limitations and issues

We are working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realize, there are some areas still needing improvement:

  • Keyboard support - some media sections (iframes, videos) are inaccessible for keyboard-only users
  • The mobile menu is not fully accessible - assistive technology users can have an issue navigating through it.
  • Page structure and semantics - a heading order is broken, and semantic elements need improvements.
  • Alternative content - not all graphic elements have meaningful alternative text
  • Responsiveness - the website is not fully adjusted on a tablet view

We are aware of existing issues and we will fix them by the end of October 2023.
