Hi there! We're looking for a Lead QA Engineer to create and guide our QA team. Within your role you will be providing support and mentorship to the team members and taking care of maintaining and developing best standards in all QA areas.

About our company

We are Snowdog: we believe in ethical business, prioritizing people and honesty over profits, combining our work with a solid portion of fun, and being fully transparent with our clients and team. Since 2006 we have been creating ground-breaking solutions for leading commerce brands - online, offline and everything in between. Crafting unified, user-centered experiences across various technological platforms by developing online stores and mobile apps. Sounds like "any other software house"? Then top it up with creating open-source software, kiosk solutions for tablets in showrooms, teaching humanoid robots to do awesome things, developing our own ML recommendation systems - all that backed with great UX research. Now that's more like Snowdog!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading, mentoring and taking care of professional development of our QA team
  • Overseeing a team of employees with varied QA expertise, different temperaments and pace of work
  • Providing a comprehensive and regular feedback exchange

  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities
  • Implementing test automation and writing test plans
  • Developing and applying testing processes to improve quality and velocity in the team
  • Maintaining high quality of eCommerce websites and native mobile applications
  • Developing procedures for diagnosing defects and tracking them from discovery to resolution
  • Working proactively to tackle any issues
  • Actively participating in QA team recruitment processes

Apply if you can boast about your:

  • Significant experience as a QA lead

  • Easiness of creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with your teammates
  • Ability to design processes, spread good QA practices and preach about highest standards
  • Experience with web and mobile (iOS/Android) applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Polish and English
  • Can-do attitude that will inspire others
  • Experience with at least one high-level automated testing framework like Cypress
  • Understanding of existing QA best practices and methodologies to design, implement, and automate processes

Even better if you also have:

  • Familiarity with the entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Integration, Regression, Functional Performance, Load, User Acceptance)
  • Experience in Continuous Integration tools (e.g. GitLab CI)
  • ISTQB Certification
  • Knowledge of eCommerce solutions

What we offer:

  • Fully flexible working time - the only limit is common sense
  • Possibility of remote work - without additional explanations
  • Paid vacation
  • 1-2 hours for self-development every week
  • No fixed corporate career path but a lot of advice and guidance to help you grow
  • A friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where people are always happy to help
  • Macbook + monitor(s)
  • Medical care, mental well-being platform subscription, sports card
  • In-house English lessons
  • Co-financing for conferences, training sessions, and certification
  • Benefits for sharing knowledge at conferences, meetups, and on our blog
